Seed Peace Dental Benefits at Rivers Dentistry

For regenerative farmers working the land across Pitkin, Garfield, Delta, and Eagle Counties, access to quality dental care has long been out of reach. Research published in Frontiers in Public Health confirms agricultural workers face significant barriers to accessing dental and medical services, including cost, transportation, and a lack of flexible scheduling that fits demanding farm schedules. If you are a regenerative farmer who qualifies for the Seed Peace wellness program, the path to a healthier mouth is closer than you may think. Your financing options just got a powerful new addition.

At Rivers Dentistry in Carbondale, Colorado, we are proud to accept Seed Peace as a participating dental provider for qualifying regenerative farmers throughout our region. Seed Peace covers a one-year subscription to a dentist as part of its comprehensive wellness benefit, helping eligible patients receive professional dental care without the full financial burden typically associated with it. To get started, apply through Seed Peace at seedpeace.org first, then schedule your visit with us. Our team understands the unique demands facing agricultural workers, and we are committed to making your first step into care straightforward, comfortable, and free of unnecessary stress.

What Is the Seed Peace Wellness Benefit?

Seed Peace is a healthcare benefit program available to regenerative farmers in Pitkin, Garfield, Delta, and Eagle Counties. The program is designed for community members who receive government benefits such as SNAP or Medicaid, or whose household income is under $75,000 annually. The dental benefit specifically includes a one-year subscription to a participating dentist, giving you access to professional oral health care for a full calendar year from the date you enroll.

The Seed Peace dental benefit is intended to cover the wellness phase of your care. This means Seed Peace pays Rivers Dentistry for your full year of care up front at your first appointment, which includes the services outlined under our wellness offerings. Once the health of your mouth has been assessed and any preventive care needs are addressed, your plan is already paid for during that covered period. Any treatment discussed beyond the wellness phase is available to you at a discounted rate, and you would be responsible for that remaining cost. The plan runs for one year from your sign-up date and renews on that same anniversary.

How to Qualify for Seed Peace

Qualifying for the Seed Peace benefit is straightforward. There are two pathways to eligibility, and meeting either one, along with working in regenerative agriculture in a participating county, is all you need to take advantage of this program.

To qualify, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Receive government benefits: If you currently receive any government assistance, such as SNAP or Medicaid, you qualify for the Seed Peace wellness benefit automatically.
  • Meet income guidelines: If your household income is less than $75,000 per year, you are eligible to participate in the program regardless of whether you receive other benefits.
  • Work in regenerative agriculture: The program is currently available to regenerative farmers operating within Pitkin, Garfield, Delta, and Eagle Counties, which includes the communities we serve throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

How to Apply and Schedule

Farmers must apply through the Seed Peace website at seedpeace.org to receive their benefits before scheduling a dental appointment. Once your enrollment is confirmed, you can schedule your dental exam at Rivers Dentistry and begin your covered year of care.

The Seed Peace Pay-It-Forward Donation

When you apply, you make a $160 Pay-it-forward donation for dentistry to Seed Peace. This donation helps Seed Peace stay sustainable, because every fifth farmer is funded by the farmers who came before them. It also gives each farmer some skin in the game, which encourages you to schedule your appointment and follow through on your care.

What Your Seed Peace Dental Year Includes

Your Seed Peace dental year at Rivers Dentistry begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health. We take the time to understand the full picture of your dental needs, identify any areas of concern, and establish a baseline for your ongoing care. This is the foundation of everything that follows, and it is what allows us to create a plan that actually fits your life.

Preventive care is the core of your covered wellness plan. Routine general dentistry services such as cleanings, exams, and preventive treatments are included within your Seed Peace benefit period and are paid for through the program. These services are the same high-quality, attentive care that every patient at our practice receives. We do not offer different tiers of care based on how a patient is paying. Every person who sits in our chair receives the full attention and thoroughness that defines our approach to dentistry.

Why Choose Rivers Dentistry for Your Seed Peace Care

Rivers Dentistry is an independently owned, fee-for-service practice in Carbondale, Colorado. Dr. Connor Rivers does not operate within a corporate structure, which means every treatment decision is made between you and your dentist, with nothing else in the way. For patients who may have had limited or no consistent dental care, this matters. There is no pressure to rush through an appointment, and no incentive structure that rewards volume over quality.

One of the most significant differentiators at our practice is our full-spectrum sedation dentistry program. We offer nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation, and we work with licensed anesthesiologists to provide hospital-level general anesthesia in our office. We are the only general dentistry practice in the region offering this complete range of options. For patients who have avoided the dentist due to anxiety, or who simply have not had a reliable provider, this level of comfort-forward care can make a genuine difference. Sedation is available for any procedure, including routine preventive visits. You can also explore our dental savings plan for ongoing affordability options beyond your Seed Peace benefit year.
